Since 2012, I roam the streets of Belgrade, documenting its social and cultural diversity and changes, people from the bottom of society, and a constant battle between metropolis and rural mentality till the last drop of sweat. As an Anthropologist, I’m not just a street photographer, anthropological googles gives me an opportunity to understand, read and notice a wider sense of cultural and social background. Especially in a type of photography like the street is. As Iggy Pop said once upon a time: “I’m a street walking cheetah with a heart full of napalm”. That is Belgrade, dirty old bastard, rebuilt, repainted, demolished, destroyed, reborn, but always fckn lively and vivid. The ugliest beautiful capital. City I love.
