It’s been a long ago, when I was a young rock n roll fanatic and journalist, running fanzine in 1994, during wartime in my hometown Knin, Croatia. Later, when I came to Belgrade, Serbia, zine got its second chance -as an online edition, started in 2001. Back in those old days, almost a quarter of a century ago, I reconnected with Alex, my rock n roll brother and founder of Bad Music for Bad People Concert Agency. Same year, he re-started his long-lasting concert promoting activity till nowadays, when he brought to Belgrade Aussie legends Cosmic Psychos. I followed him till 2010, and then went to some others photographic long-term projects, but he didn’t stop bringing to Belgrade pure essence of punk and roll, bluesy trash, one man band vagabonds, fallen angels, dirty bastards, freaks, loners, losers and all those essential souls from the rock n roll underground. After a spontaneous phone conversation somewhere in the beginning of 2023, we decided to start a new capture. Since then, I’ve been following and documenting his concerts in a row. I was curious what’s behind the stage, before the show, doing some rock n roll badass stories and witnessing pieces of rock n roll history, again. That was the beginning of my ongoing new long-term photo documentary project, dedicated to Alex and his work. Because, if there was no Alex, Belgrade would miss most of the pure legends in these 25 years long, without a break party. Badass Rock n roll at its best…
